The meeting (of sea and clouds)

I wanted to create this watercolour composition that captures the ethereal beauty of a stormy ocean meeting the clouds. I have created the waves using liberal brushstrokes and wanted the paint to seamlessly blend together. I wanted to create the motion of ‘rising’ within the paining and for it to be dramatically moving towards the clouds in vivid hues of blue, pink, and red. I have added delicate hints of yellow, which I feel add a luminous touch to the crashing waves, evoking the raw energy of the storm. This piece exudes an atmospheric quality, immersing the viewer in its dreamlike and otherworldly essence.
